Mrs Brooks and I have had a lovely time over the last couple of days visiting Students who had entered the home garden section of Show Day.
We viewed a variety from container gardens to shared plots in the family garden area.
Students had planted a mix of flowers, vegetables and herbs which resulted in very attractive gardens, one featuring Christmas bling.
Talking with us about weeding, germinating seeds, sharing knowledge on companion planting, pests that had to be dealt with and commenting on what a wet season we are experiencing. Some are already making plans for their garden next year.
Well done, Jack Frew, Amelia Storey, Chloe Kyle, Louis Baker and Fenton Buunk.
It is always a delight to see students excited and proud of their gardens.
